Cylindrical pillar design for island kitchens

The Falmec hood Polar Evo 35 abandons the visual mass of a conventional hood in favour of a clean cylindrical column 35 cm in diameter. Suspended from the ceiling above the cooking island, the pillar can be installed at a fixed 760 mm length or adjusted from 820 mm up to 1225 mm with the optional extension, allowing the hood to be sized exactly to ceiling height. Vertical electronic controls run discreetly along the front of the column, almost invisible until you reach for them.

800 m³/h motor with Energy class A

Inside the column, an 800 m³/h brushless motor pulls air through a single Ø150 mm outlet at the top. The Falmec hood Polar Evo 35 delivers up to 765 m³/h at Boost, with four operating speeds ranging from a quiet 48 dB(A) at speed 1 to 69 dB(A) at intensive. The hood is rated Energy class A with an annual consumption of 57.6 kWh, an efficiency index (EEI) of 53.5, and fluid dynamic efficiency class A.

Dynamic Light with dimmable LEDs at the base

Three 1.2 W LEDs at the base of the cylinder cast direct task light onto the cooking surface, with a Dynamic Light system that tunes the colour temperature anywhere between 2700 K warm and 5600 K cool white. The lighting is fully dimmable from the control panel, so the hood can switch between concentrated cooking light and a softer ambient glow once dinner is on the table. Average illumination on the cooking surface is 179 lux.

Extracting or filtering operation

Falmec hood Polar Evo 35 supports both modes. Connected to a 150 mm duct it extracts cooking fumes directly outside, the preferred mode where a vertical duct run is practical. With the optional round Type 6 charcoal filter installed it operates in recirculating mode, returning filtered air back into the room — useful in apartments and renovations where ducting through the ceiling is not an option. A washable metallic grease filter handles oil and grease in both modes and lifts out for cleaning in seconds.

Five finishes for any kitchen palette

The Falmec hood Polar Evo 35 is offered in five finishes. Black and White suit minimal or strongly contrasting island schemes. Copper and Gold bring a warm metallic accent that reads more as jewellery than appliance, especially against darker cabinetry or neutral stone. Scotch-brite Inox in AISI 304 stainless steel is the natural choice for kitchens already specified in stainless or for clients who want a finish that ages quietly and will not date.
