A traditional kitchen door is 20 millimetres of material. Valcucine asked how much of it a door actually needs.
2 millimetres on an aluminium frame. The thinnest kitchen door made, using up to 85 percent less material. They call it dematerialisation; it has guided every Valcucine patent since.

Made in Pordenone, thought for people
Valcucine was founded on 17 March 1980 in Pordenone, north-east Italy, by four entrepreneurs. Under designer Gabriele Centazzo it became one of the most awarded names in kitchen design, known for putting ergonomics, health and the environment ahead of fashion.
Forty-five years later the record reads like a history of the modern kitchen. Scroll through it.
